Energy bracelets has been the talk of the town and there are satisfied energy bracelet user who will tell you how much energy they receive from just wearing these small and trendy bracelets.

In line with this, a lot of companies have emerged, offering alternative medicines, going back to herbal (glutathione, grapeseed, etc.) and among these were companies that offered what they called as energy bracelets.

There are three types of these energy bracelets that have been offered out into the market, namely: Tungsten Magnetic Bracelet, Power balance, and IRenew.

Tungsten Magnetic Bracelets have been out in the market, and has been made readily available through a lot of Multi-Level Marketing companies, private shops, and even online shops such as Amazon. According to them, these bracelets offer what they call as magnotheraphy. This particular type of alternative medicine applies the use of magnet in order to come up with health benefits.

Although a lot has said that the magnet contained in these bracelets improve the circulation of blood in the body, a lot has still questioned the field and intensity of the magnet that will be able to boost blood flow. In fact, the latest research in 2009 has shown that magnetic wrist straps had no effect when it comes to pain management, stiffness and physical function in osteoarthritis and have concluded that the effects of such are the same of what is medically coined or termed as the placebo effect.

Amidst scientific studies and research, a lot has still been selling these type of bracelets. The brushed and polished design is guaranteed to turn some heads! A 1200 gauss samarium cobalt magnet is in each large link.

Various forms of copper have been used for medicinal purposes throughout the history of mankind. Ancient Egyptian Greek, Roman, and Aztec writings record consistent medicinal uses of copper. Today as more information becomes available, alternative health care and home remedies are gaining popularity.

Health publications include copper bracelets as a home remedy to possibly ease the pain from arthritis in some people who get an insufficient amount of copper from their food. One study found patients wearing copper bracelets absorbed an average of 13 milligrams of copper during a month.

This could bring many people into the recommended daily intake for copper (1.5 to 3 milligrams). Copper absorbed through the skin gets into circulation very efficiently, more so than most dietary copper. Superoxide Dimutase (SOD) is one of the body's own copper dependent enzymes that reduces pain and inflammation. The body may use copper to make more of its own SOD.

Magnets have been used in different cultures over the years by those who believe that magnets worn on the body promote good health. The theory is that magnet therapy is beneficial by affecting the circulatory system, the blood flow in the body. Increased circulation is beneficial because the body gets more of the nutrients it needs from the blood.

Power Balance started to come into the picture in January of 2006. They have released in the market a wrist band which they named as power balance after the name of the company. According to them, the rubber wrist band embedded with holograms adjusts the body’s energy or vibrations. Another claim they made is that these bands will improve your strength, your balance, and your flexibility. They also suggest it will improve your well-being, give you clarity of thought, and improve your stamina and sports performance.

Again, just like the Tungsten Magnetic bracelets, the company who produced these rubberized bracelets with holograms has openly admitted to the public, through the investigation conducted by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission that a lot of the claims they have made with the product effects are but baseless. In a test conducted by one of the researchers, Richard Saunders, he claims that the head himself of the Australian branch of Power balance failed 5 times out of 5 and was not able to determine which among the people they tested and were lined up in front of him was wearing the said bracelet. Clearly, there is still no scientific proof or evidence that supports the company’s claim yet their distributors have continued to sell the products everywhere.

IRenew is the newest product that has been advertised in Home TV Shopping that claims that the product has been tested by one of the quantum scientists maintaining our body’s subtle energy field more commonly known as the biofield.

The product furthermore claims to be highly effective, 100% safe, holistic energy balancing technology called BioField. Since the product has just been launched in the market, it is currently available only in the United States and orders are currently processed through the company’s website. The company however provides a disclaimer saying they are not claiming that the product will cure a person’s disease or illness but may promote strength, endurance, and body balance.
